The Lower School at Bedford Academy includes Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten. Drop off for lower school children begins at 7:30 am with instruction commencing at 8:30 am. Pick up begins at 3:00 pm with extended day options starting at 3:30 pm. Enrichment activities or academic support time is also available beginning at 3:30 pm and ending at 6:00 pm. With our small class sizes, faculty are able to provide individual support as they help children develop the foundational skills needed for elementary school. Emphasis is placed on developing your child’s physical and socio-emotional abilities.

The small class size allows them to get more individualized attention and learning and the curriculum allows them to learn at a pace that works for each them. “If you’re looking for a school that is small and cares about your child’s individual education, this is the place for you! My toddler was lost in her classroom of 12 students at her previous school. She’s shy and introverted. Bedford Academy helped her find her voice and the confidence she needed. She’s in a classroom now of only 8 students. The teachers (and staff) are so caring and committed to children, it’s outstanding! I couldn’t ask for a warmer invite, especially during COVID when I was used to a curbside drop-off! They have STEAM, art, gym, ballet, and Spanish. My 3 year comes home singing songs in Spanish! She loves going to school now and we’re thrilled with her experience! Highly recommend!”.
